The Ocean Sciences Campus looks forward to welcoming the 2026 intake of the Applied Ocean Sciences (AOS) – South African Master of Ocean Science (SAMOS) Master’s Programme, who will be arriving on campus to commence their coursework.
While registered at the University of Cape Town, the coursework component of the programme is delivered at Nelson Mandela University’s Ocean Sciences Campus as part of a national, consortium-led initiative. This marks the launch of the first full AOS–SAMOS cohort and the beginning of a two-year, interdisciplinary master’s degree, combining rigorous coursework with a minor dissertation.
We look forward to welcoming the cohort to the Ocean Sciences Campus.
