Exploring Schoenmakerskop Rocky Shores

On the 23^rd of March 2026 the SAMOS Students embarked on an exploration trip to Schoenmakerskop where they explored the different rocky shore zones. During this trip the students got a chance to sample and monitor the different intertidal zones using transects and quadrants. They took a few samples with them to the lab for identification under the guidance of Dr. Courtney Puckree-Padua (Cape Peninsula University of Technology), Prof. Motebang Nakin (Walter-Sisulu University), Dr. Natanah Gusha (Rhodes University), Dr. Thembinkozi Dlaza (Walter-Sisulu University) and Dr Ntuthuko Masikane (University of Zululand).
