Estuarine Sampling

On the 31^st of March 2026 the SAMOS Students spent their day exploring the Swartkops estuary through practises on and sampling water quality, phytoplankton, zooplankton, seagrass, fish and discussions on microplastics, blue carbon sampling, greenhouse gas measurements and management issues facilitated by Prof. Janine Adams (Nelson Mandela University), Dr. Nicola Carrasco (University of KwaZulu-Natal), Dr. Jaime Johnson (Cape Peninsula University of Technology).
